• Policy & Process: the elements of a successful open source policy, open source processes for security & compliance, and building institutional knowledge for long-term success. Audience: IT managers, legal & compliance professionals.

• Tools & Technology:  compliant interaction with open source communities, and automating license compliance and security scans. Audience: IT developers, architects, and engineers

Day Two will feature extended training sessions on particular technologies and products enabling compliant open source development, including license-compliance tools, compliance automation for cloud-based deployment, and source code management to enforce compliance.

OUR OBJECTIVE

Financial services firms make extensive use of open source, but few are taking full advantage of this incredible resource. By becoming strategic contributors to open source projects, companies can decrease development costs, improve security, attract developers, and innovate faster. OSSF is designed to get you there faster, with practical sessions focused on building the business, process, and technical knowledge to implement an effective open source program, and introductions to the tools and vendors that can help.
